This playstand kit is built the way I build for my own birds: stable, roomy, and designed for real daily use. I designed this stand myself and I do all the prep work for each kit. Every piece of pipe is hand-cleaned, precision cut, and shop-prepped so assembly is straightforward and the finished stand fits together well and feels substantial. This stand is designed for birds who love to climb (or need a little help), this play gym includes three diagonal access ramps—a built-in “climbing highway” for birds who prefer climbing, are learning confidence, or are flight-impaired.

This listing is for the stand kit with NO perch coverings—perfect for those who prefer to use vet tape (not included) as perch coverings. But if you like the look of twine wrapped perches, every perch is drilled specifically for those who choose to wrap with natural twine as a preferred covering. I include instructions on how to do this, twine is NOT INCLUDED with this listing, but I do offer pre-cut twine bundles special made for this project! See links below.

Materials:
Be aware this kit utilizes INDUSTRIAL GRADE PVC PIPE (not furniture-grade)!!
Why?
I build these using industrial PVC, not furniture-grade PVC. Furniture-grade looks pristine, but a playstand of this size it can drive the price into “astronomical” territory. The only difference between industrial and furniture grade PVC pipe is that furniture grade lacks the industrial printing on the pipe, and is shinier. I clean most of this ink off in the cleaning process, but the ink is basically "baked" on when it is made, so it's impossible to get it completely removed. But, it's easy to conceal and the birds don't care! They just want a fun place to play!

Also, using industrial PVC also allows me to repurpose donated/leftover pipe when I can—keeping costs down and keeping usable material out of the waste stream. Because of this, you may see cosmetic imperfections such as:
Minor surface scuffs
Small color variation if it's been in the sun
and again, a faint “ghost” imprint where ink markings once were

I remove as much as possible during cleaning, but I want you to know up-front: this is a hand-built working stand, and the value is in the engineering, prep, and durability, not a showroom-perfect plastic finish.

About perch coverings:
This kit ships with no perch coverings (by design for this listing).
This is idea for those who prefer to use vet tape for perch coverings (vet tape not included). As noted above in this description, if you prefer natural twine wrapping, the perches are already drilled for use with 1/4" jute twine. I include wrapping instructions with the assembly instructions. I also sell pre-measured, prepped bundles of twine for this stand.
